KCSO

8/21/17 – Dispatch advised that Jerrica Ingles had an active warrant for probation violation. An anonymous caller said she could be found at a residence on Columbus Road. Two officers went to the address and found Ingles outside, sitting on a riding mower. She was arrested, handcuffed and transported to the Knox County Jail.

8/22/17 – the complainant reported that sometime between Sunday evening, Aug. 20 and Tuesday morning, Aug. 22, person(s) unknown cut the hasp off a door and removed the lock that secured it. The suspects then removed a Poulan 18 inch bar chain saw and approximately 2 gallons of gas siphoned from 3 vehicles stored in the barn. The complainant requested patrol. The chain saw was entered into LEADS. There are no known suspects.

8/21/17 – Michael J. Perkins was facing east on Commerce Dr. and backed west striking Everett R. Myers who was facing east on Commerce Dr.

8/20/17 – At approximately 8:13 AM an officer was dispatched to a N. Jefferson St. address on a report of vandalism to a vehicle. The complainant said someone broke out her car window overnight. She said she had parked the car on 8/20/17 at about 8:30 PM. The next morning at about 8:13 AM she noticed the broken window. A written statement was stake and a report made. There are no suspects at this time.

8/21/17 – At 8:50 AM an officer responded to an N. Gay St. address on a vandalism complaint. Contact was made with the victim and photographs were taken at the scene. The investigation is closed and will be re-opened if a suspect is identified and/or any leads are developed.

9/21/17 – At 12:16 PM an officer responded to 1550 Coshocton Ave. on a found property complaint. The property was recovered from the scene and secured into an evidence locker. Items included a yellow box containing a razor, a broken spoon, two needle caps, two large spoons and a Sweethearts Mints container, empty. There was also a gray/red backpack containing clothing, a package of razor blades and a notebook. And a black purse containing numerous ink pens and markers.

8/20/17 – Phillip Agyeman, 47, East Hartford CT. was cited for oversize/weight vehicle on local streets.

8/21/17 – Mark Robison, 63, Becky Lane, was cited for a red light violation.

8/18/17 - Tracy Seavolt was arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear. Seavolt was handcuffed and transported to the Knox County Jail.

8/18/17 - Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Cochran Rd on a disturbance. Dispatch advised the subjects were yelling at each other and would not stop. On the second visit, Andrew David Wilson, Jr. was arrested for disorderly conduct with persisting.

8/19/17 - The complainant called the KCSO to file a fraud report., She stated that someone tried to use her deceased husband's credit information. A report was filed for documentation.

8/20/17 - Adrianne L. Erwin was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Mount Vernon Municipal Court. Erwin was transported to the Knox County Jail and released to jail staff with incident.

8/21/17 - An officer responded to a Sychar Rd. address on a possible theft from a vehicle,. When he arrived on the scene the officer was advised by the complainant that during the night, someone had broken the right rear window of his vehicle. The vehicle's interior was observed to be in disarray,. The complainant said he kept approximately $2,000 worth of construction tools in the vehicle overnight. The officer asked the complainant to inspect the vehicle to see if anything appeared to be missing. After inspecting the vehicle the complainant said it didn't appear that anything was missing. The officer told the complainant to contact him if he did find anything missing. There are no suspects at this time.

8/16/17 - Lucas N. Stagg was arrested on an active warrant out of Mount Vernon Municipal Court. Stagg was handcuffed and transported to the Knox County Jail.


MVPD 

8/16/17 - Tiffany L. Martin was southbound on S. Mulberry St. in the westernmost lane. John Merle Meier was southbound on S. Mulberry St. in the easternmost lane. At the intersection of W, Ohio Ave. Martin attempted to turn left on W. Ohio Ave. across the eastern lane and struck/was struck by Meier. Martin was cited for improper turning at an intersection.

8/16/17 - Officers were dispatched to S. Rogers St. on a report of a disturbance.

8/16/17 - An officer was dispatched to a residence on S. Rogers St. in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported a 1978 Chevy car stolen from the garage of the residence. The investigation is pending and the report will be supplemented with any new information.

8/15/17 - Richard Henderson, 36, E. Gambier St. was charged with domestic violence.

8/15/17 - Ashley Beardsley, 28, E. Gambier St. was arrested and charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.

8/16/17 - Benjamin Harvey, 26, W. High St. was cited for driving under a FRA suspension and cited for fictitious plates.

MVPD

8/17/17 - At approximately 2:05 PM an officer responded to S. Harrison St. near W. Gambier St, with the Mount Vernon Fire Department in reference to a man passed out in the street. The male was found by the MVPD to be unconscious but still breathing. When the officer arrived the male, identified as Jeff Middleton, was sitting up, alert and talking to paramedics. Middleton was arrested for a probation violation and transported to the Knox County Jail.

8/17/17 - At about 1:10 AM two officers responded to the area of 855 Coshocton Ave. on a report of a disturbance, possibly involving a firearm, Although no firearms were found at the scene of the disturbance, one of the males involved. Micah Dean was found to be in possession of 14 hypodermic syringes, Dean was arrested at the scene and charges were filed.

8/17/17 - At about 12:32 PM, an officer was dispatched to 911 Coshocton Ave. on a report of an infant left unattended in a hot car. The officer spoke with the complainant who stated she saw the infant in the vehicle. The officer removed the infant from the car and called the Mount Vernon Fire Department which came and checked on the condition of the child. Children Services was contacted and responded to the scene. A male returned to the car. He was identified as Donald Ireland. Ireland was found to have warrants out of the Heath Police department. Ireland was arrested n the warrants and also charged with child endangering and incarcerated in the Knox County Jail.

8/17/17 - An officer was dispatched to a N. Gay St. address on a report of a stolen vehicle. The officer found no witnesses or evidence at the scene. Nothing further to report.

8/16/17 - Joshua Chavis, 36, Columbus, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.

8/17/17 - Micah Dean, 38, was arrested and charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.

8/17/17 - Joseph Cochran, 36, Columbus, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

8/17/17 - Jeffery Middleton, 36, Ridgewood Ave. was charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.

8/17/17 - Donald Ireland, 35, Utica was arrested and charged with child endangering.

Traffic accidents
8/17/17 - Donald W. Clayborne was westbound in the Walmart parking lot. He began a left turn (south) and struck a handicap sign post.

8/17/17 - 1 was traveling east on W. Vine St. and stated she had a green light at the intersection of W, Vine and S. Sandusky streets. 2 was northbound on S. Sandusky St. and stated she had a green light at the intersection. Both vehicles crashed in the intersection. There were no witnesses to the incident and it was listed as an unknown at-fault party.

8/14/17 - The complainant observed Rocky Lane Parsons in the area of North West St and West Burgess St. The complainant verified with dispatch that the suspect had a warrant. The complainant attempted to make contact with Parsons but he fled on foot. Parsons was caught and arrested.

8/15/17 - A deputy met with the complainant at the incident location on McManis Road. The complainant stated that persons unknown forced entry into her property between approximately 3:30 PM on 8/14/17 and 9:45 AM on 8/15/17 and removed a goose from the property. The complainant advised the goose is a show goose and there was nothing else taken. There was damage to the front door as if it had been pried open. She was advised a report would be made and to contact the KCSO if the goose was located. Photographs were taken and a report written to document the incident.

8/14/17 - An officer contacted the victim who stated that person(s) unknown had opened a Verizon Account without his permission.

8/15/17 - A deputy made contact with the complainant by telephone. The complainant stated that someone had added 4 phones to his Verizon account. The complainant had contacted the Verizon fraud department and was advised by them to contact the sheriff's office to file a report for documentation. A report was written.

8/15/17 - Two vehicles parked at a residence on Coshocton Rd. in Howard had the windows shot out by an air powered gun. A report was written.

8/15/17 - A complaint was made in Martinsburg about a vehicle being damaged. Cash was taken from the damaged vehicle. The incident took place during the night hours of 8/14/17.

8/16/17 - Charles M. Posey, Jr. was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Mount Vernon Municipal Court. Posey was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

8/15/17 - An unknown driver was backing northbound from a parking spot and struck a vehicle owned by Sheria A. Seese who was also parked in the parking lot facing westbound. 1 left the scene without reporting the incident.

8/13/17 - At approximately 10:10 AM an officer responded to a Howard St. address on a report of vandalism. The investigation continues.

8/12/17 - At approximately 11:17 AM an officer responded to the MVPD on a theft complaint. A written statement was obtained from the victim. The incident occurred at a residence on West High St. The suspect is unknown and the investigation has been closed. The investigation will re-open if a suspect and/or any leads are developed.

8/14/17 - An officer responded to a S. Main St. address at approximately 3:15 PM in response to a theft. The investigation continues.

8/14/17 - An officer responded to a S. Main St. area in reference to a fight in progress. The officer made contact with the complainant at Crenos Pizza. The complainant stated he was jumped by two suspects at the depot on S. Main St. The officer observed severe swelling and bruising on the complainant's face. The suspects left the area before the officer arrived. The victim was transported to KCH to be treated. The investigation continues.

8/15/17 - An officer was dispatched to the area of the Salvation Army on E. Ohio Ave. in reference to a domestic violence complaint. The officer spoke to the complainant who advised she was assaulted by her husband at their residence on E. Gambier St. The officer called the male participant who stated he had begun recording his wife like he was told to do. He said she started throwing things and yelling at him. He also stated he had taken their son and left the house. The officer advised both parties he would send the report to the city prosecutor for review.
