MOUNT VERNON – For the 10th consecutive year, community members have the opportunity to become a Friend of the Festival. In the past, business sponsorships and regular program income provided the primary funding for the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival. This special “Friend of the Festival” program was created in 2008 as a way for individuals to also provide financial contributions to ensure the continuance of the Festival from year to year.
Why become a Friend of the Festival? Not only will you be providing a service to others within the community, but the individual Friend of the Festival will also receive a package that includes two reserved seats for the Lee Greenwood concert on Saturday, August 12th, special recognition on the sponsors page of the Festival website, and special individual recognition at the Festival (if requested). The Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit, making your Friend of the Festival donation tax deductible. The package is available online by clicking on Friends of the Festival at the bottom of each page on the website www.danemmettfestival.org. Forms are also available upon request or at Harvest@TheWoodward, located at 105 South Main Street in downtown Mount Vernon.
This special opportunity allows the community members to help perpetuate the Festival and enjoy great concerts year after year. Individuals are now able to help make it possible to continue to bring in the great musical groups that make the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival a success, such as this year’s headliner, Lee Greenwood. Donations of any size are welcome for membership as a Friend of the Festival.
The 2017 Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival runs August 10th-13th in Downtown Mount Vernon with various activities each day. This year’s Festival is made possible through the contributions of Ariel Corporation and First-Knox National Bank.
