MOUNT VERNON - The Knox County Common Pleas courtroom of Judge Otho Eyster will likely be packed Monday afternoon as a plea of guilty hearing is scheduled in the double murder case against Travis Bonham. The case has drawn statewide attention.
Bonham was indicted by the Knox County grand jury last October in the shooting deaths of his mother, Sandra Stelk, 50, and girlfriend Jaime Barber, 23, last September 29th. The two were found dead in Stelk's Coshocton Road home September 30th. Bonham reportedly said he was high on bath salts at the time of the murders.
Bonham was also accused of grand theft for taking his mother's car after the killlings. He was apprehended days later in Licking County and taken to jail.
